Mixed Message Re: School Districts

I gather that the merger website now shows maps of the school districts [Master File Archive/Statistics]. The mayor and others pushing for this merger have to make up their minds: whenever I have said that the hidden agenda here is to merge the school districts, I have been told in no uncertain terms that the school districts have nothing to do with the municipal merger issue, yet here we see that someone decided they are a part of the discussion. Which is it? Bottom line: to the extent a merger of the Clayton and Richmond heights cities is intended to smooth the way for a merger of the school districts, think again -- it will be a cold day in hell if you think Clayton citizens are going to vote for this. Including school district maps in the discussion makes it even harder to countenance a merger of the two municipalities. --Marty Rochester
